How Long does it take to remodel my bathroom?

 

On average, a  complete bathroom remodel can be done in about 30 days under ideal circumstances. Assuming no work is done on weekends, this translates to about 5-6 weeks—slightly over one month—if the work proceeds uniformly with no breaks.

What is a Cement board?

​

Cement boards are typically used on low quality installation making it difficult to provide a leveled and water proof surface for your shower enclosure. It is not recommended. Despite the disadvantages some people still use cement boards because it is fast and cheap to install.

 

What are the benefits of Cement Floating my shower enclosure ?

Floating your shower walls provided you with 2 essential benefits. The 1st is a smooth leveled surface allowing for a high quality tile installation. 2nd is that a floated shower enclosure provided the highest level of water Proofing available. The higher cost will not only provide you a leveled surface for your tile installation but also piece of mind that moisture build up behind the walls is extremely unlikely.

 

Should I disclose my budget with Alvarez Tile?

 

Here’s my thought… most good contractors can do a bathroom remodel project from somewhere in the $10,000 – $25,000 Range all the way up to the $50,000 range. If you don’t let them know what your budget expectations are, bids may come in all over the place. Here at Alvarez Tile we take budgets very serious and do our best to stay within those financial parameters. We give honest feedback and find ways to meet the budget even if that means holding off on starting a project for a few more months. We will never compromise quality or cut corners to save costs, this would destroy the relationship we hope to build with you as our future customer.
